The Lounge Coffee Shop which is part of the Leigh Park Community Centre charity has had a new lease of life after a recent refit.
Laura Malek, the new coffee shop manager, said it’s been a long-held ambition to run a coffee shop and she was ‘optimistic’ about its future.
She said she was excited to provide a range of hot drinks and delicious food – as well as offering workshops such as bread making.
Laura has run many cooking classes over the last six years in and around the Westbury area and brings a wealth of nutritional awareness, passion and community spirit in her new role.
“It’s what the community needs – especially for those trying to beat isolation and loneliness in our community” Laura said.
Chairman of Leigh Park Community Centre, David Windess, said, “We’re absolutely delighted with the refit of the coffee shop, it looks brighter and modern and the new range of food and drinks have received positive feedback from our customers so far.”
The Lounge Coffee Shop also has an outdoor seating area, playpark, free Wi-Fi and is open Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4pm. It can be found on Leigh Park Way, opposite Tesco Express.
They have a special offer running for White Horse News readers – any hot drink and a cake for £5 with the coupon in this week’s newspaper.
