A LOCAL community group, The Monday Gang, has expressed its thanks to Westbury Area Board for the £1,000 grant it was awarded last year.
Ian Humphrey from the group said, “The grant awarded to our organisation has enabled us to buy a diverse range of tools and equipment that is already helping us to work more efficiently and with greater safety.
“As a non-funded group, The Monday Gang has mainly used cast off items from others or our own equipment when undertaking the various voluntary tasks that are regularly done in our community. It is therefore a joy for members to have purpose-bought good quality equipment to work with.
“So, after an initial phone call from Liam Cripps, a subsequent visit to look at our work, and advice given regarding a grant application, we have in a short time, benefitted in a way not previously thought possible.”
