Acclaimed local choir, The Philomel Singers, will be in concert in Westbury Methodist Church on Saturday 19th October at 7.30pm raising money for Salisbury Hospital’s Stars Appeal.
The concert will feature a wide range of songs from traditional to modern to appeal to everyone. The Philomel Singers are delighted to be joined by Anna Hallett, a gifted young musician who will be performing organ solo pieces and Annabel Bigland, another young but already highly experienced soprano soloist.
This is a free concert with a retiring collection. All profits will go to the Stars Appeal and there will be refreshments available during the interval.
The choir, who perform several concerts a year, have raised well over £35,000 since their formation with all profits given to predominantly local charities.
Salisbury District Hospital’s Stars Appeal raises money to create the best possible experience for patients and their families by funding extra care and equipment over and above that provided by the NHS.
Further information about the choir can be found on their website, philomeltrowbridge.co.uk.
They will be performing again on Saturday 14th December at St Mary’s Church in Steeple Ashton in aid of the Church and Wiltshire Air Ambulance.”
