A garden fete will take place at Bratton Institute on Saturday 28th June from 2pm to 4.30pm, offering an afternoon of fun for all ages.
The event will be officially opened by village crier Ray Davies, followed by entertainment from the Bratton Brass Band.
Visitors can enjoy a range of activities including bingo, a tombola, a bottle stall, and a grand raffle with the top prize of a weekend away in Cornwall. Children can join in the fun at the dedicated children’s corner, featuring a teddy bear picnic — don’t forget to bring your favourite teddy!
A poetry competition will also be held, open to all ages and on any subject. Entries cost £2 for adults and £1 for children (please include age). Poems can be brought along on the day or sent to J Martin, 4 The Tynings, Bratton, BA13 4RR.
Additional attractions include a vintage stall, jewellery, gardenalia, bric-a-brac, books, DVDs, CDs, and more. Refreshments such as ice cream and Pimms will be available throughout the afternoon.
