Upton Scudamore’s Nuy Smith cooked up a storm when she held a ladies’ charity Thai lunch on Monday 26th June in aid of St Mary the Virgin Church Fund.
With help from two of her friends, Nuy provided an array of authentic Thai dishes, each course more delicious than the last! Catering for vegetarians and gluten-free was much appreciated. Finally she served platters of fruit with shortbread. Over 30 ladies paid £25 for their tickets, to include prosecco and this, together with a few other donations, raised £805 for the church
“We were very fortunate with the day, which was bright and warm, and enabled us all to have lunch on Nuy’s patio. A thorough enjoyable lunch was had by everyone and a huge thank you to Nuy and Kevin for generously donating all the food and inviting us to their beautiful home. Grateful thanks also to Sue Spencer and Carolyn Pollard for helping to organise the event.”
