THE Three Daggers at Edington which has suspended its pub and restaurant operations, has extended its opening hours of the  Edington Farm Shop, into the evening, to support the community. The business is also offering a zero-contact takeaway, collection and delivery (within 5 miles)

The AA Pub of the Year England 2019 – 2020, took the decision to suspend its pub and restaurant operations due to the coronavirus pandemic in order to continue to keep staff and the public safe,

They report, “The Farm Shop will provide fresh and chilled produce and essentials such as milk, bread, eggs, fruit and vegetables and bottled beers, and is requiring customers to adhere to a cashless system as much as possible.

“The Farm Shop is also launching a zero-contact takeaway, collection and delivery (within 5 miles) service featuring grocery essentials as well as cook-at-home meals, freshly made pizzas, home-brewed beer and a selection of wines and spirits. All takeaway orders need to be pre-booked by calling 01380 830940.

“The Farm Shop is operating under a new strict hygiene focused protocol which includes providing customers with latex gloves entering the shop, restricted entry to limit customer numbers inside at any one time and thinning out fresh produce to limit handling. Seating inside Edington Farm Shop and on-premises consumption will be suspended until further notice.

“The Inn at Three Daggers’ three, newly renovated, guest rooms above the pub will remain operating and will also encourage guests to go cashless as much as possible. Cold breakfast provisions and hot drinks will be available from Edington Farm Shop only. A room cleaning buffer of five days between each room’s occupation will take effect immediately to protect the health of guests and housekeeping staff.

“Hillside Cottage will remain open for exclusive-use, self-catering bookings.

“Three Daggers Brewery’s award-winning ales, wines and spirits are available for take away and collection at Edington Farm Shop. Our ales will also be available as part of the Edington Farm Shop’s delivery service. Daggers Ale and Blonde will be available in 18 or 36 pint ‘bag in box’ as well as growler refills. Daggers Black & Edge is also available in bottles. Edington Farm Shop is also offering a discount on keg collections. For delivery information or to place orders please call 01380 830940.”

Three Daggers’ operations manager, Richard Smith said, “Here at Three Daggers, we’re making the health and safety of our guests and staff our absolute priority,. We’re doing everything possible to meet the unprecedented challenges we face so we can continue to support our community safely. We are monitoring the situation very closely and taking a proactive approach within the framework of social distancing.

“We’ve already implemented a more rigorous cleaning schedule for our housekeeping staff and our highly trained kitchen team to ensure exceptional food handling procedures are followed at all times.”
