Organisers of the Village Pump Folk Festival have apologised for the delay in the availability of special tickets for people living in the BA13 area.
“We had the idea that we’d like more local people to get a taste of the Pump Festival and to make tickets easy to buy through local venues,” said festival organiser John Alderslade. “But owing to a misunderstanding on the part of the printers, the tickets weren’t ready in time for the launch of this very special offer.
“However, everything has been sorted out now and people in the BA13 area will have the chance to buy evening tickets for £20 instead of £30 right up to 19 July.
“We apologise to anyone who has been inconvenienced but hope they’ll come along to see what has become one of the top small festivals in the country.”
The special tickets will be available only through White Horse Country Park, Charlie’s Bar in Westbury Market Place and Suave in Warminster Road.
Described by a leading independent web-site last year as “one of the friendliest festivals we’ve had the pleasure to review”, The Village Pump Folk Festival is on 22, 23 and 24 July.
Acts appearing on the three evenings include The Proclaimers, The Neville Staple Band (ex The Specials), Andy Kershaw, The Phil Beer Band and Ferocious Dog. All the performance areas are under cover and ticket holders will have full access to all the attractions of the Festival. Further details at www.villagepump.co.uk
