THE Four Villages Link scheme urgently needs volunteers.
The link scheme covers Edington, Erlestoke, Bratton and Coulston.
They say, “Link schemes provide a safety net for all. Our volunteer-led community service scheme – The Four Village Link (TFVL) – is the local support group that can assist you should you be unable to access public transport.
“We are not here just to provide transport to and from medical appointments though – we can help with shopping, take your dog for a walk, call in for a chat, or even do small practical household tasks that don’t require the services of a specialist tradesman.
“Being a volunteer can give you a new interest, so if you feel you can help or would just like to find out more, please call for an initial chat on 07852 256939.
“If you would like assistance, just call us and one of our duty coordinators will log your request and find a volunteer to help you. All calls are charged at mobile rates.
“Please give at least 48 hrs. notice if at all possible. (particularly so during these summer months), Please note our telephone is not manned at weekends and/or bank holidays, so any messages left on it will be dealt with on the next working day. 07852 256939 between 9am – 6pm Mon to Fri.”
