HEALTHWATCH Wiltshire, which aims to give local people a voice on their healthcare, is on the lookout for volunteers.
Volunteers are at the centre of the charity’s work and are vital in ensuring that the views of the public are represented.
There are a variety of activities that you could get involved with as a volunteer, including: • Promoting Healthwatch Wiltshire at local events and meetings. • Visiting hospitals or care settings. • Getting out and about in the community and listening to people sharing their experiences.
All Healthwatch Wiltshire volunteers have a dedicated team to support them and are offered training and personal development opportunities, as well as being invited to celebration events to recognise volunteer contributions.
Volunteering could be a positive experience for people who want to get more involved with their local community, improve their knowledge of health and social care or gain valuable experience.
Visit www.healthwatchwiltshire.co.uk – to find out more or to take the ‘Volunteering Quiz’ and see which role best suits you.
