BARNARDO’S in Westbury is holding a cake sale to raise extra funds for local children’s services, with goods baked by volunteer Georgia Holder and her twin sister, Harriet.
The girls will be baking a variety of goods including cakes, tiffins, flapjacks and muffins to sell at the Westbury shop on Saturday 23rd June from 9am.
Georgia is a volunteer for Barnardo’s three days a week and joined forces with her sister to raise extra money for the charity.
Georgia said, “I absolutely love volunteering here, so much so that I keep trying to persuade Harriet to help out too!”
Harriet added, “We have been baking together everyday since we can remember and it has become a huge hobby of mine. When we both became vegan, it made us want to perfect a vegan cake recipe and we believe we have this with our chocolate and vanilla cake.”
Angie Devereux, manager at Barnardo’s said, “We are so lucky to have Georgia here helping us out, she has a great eye for detail when it comes to dressing and arranging the stock and I am so thankful to them both for helping me with this extra fundraising activity, to raise money for local children’s services in Westbury.”
The sisters will continue selling until all their cakes are sold, so visit the shop early in the day to avoid disappointment.
