Volunteers are needed to support this year’s Poppy Appeal in Westbury, helping to collect vital donations that support members of the Armed Forces and their families.
Help is required to man the stands at local supermarkets Lidl and Morrisons, collecting donations from 24th October to 10th November.
All donations raised during the Poppy Appeal help the Royal British Legion provide life-long support to serving and ex-serving members of the British Armed Forces, their families, and dependents through hardships, injuries and bereavements.
Last year, nearly £7,500 was raised in Westbury during the Poppy Appeal.
“The amount raised last year was due to the generosity of the people of Westbury,” said Westbury organiser David Calder.
For those interested in helping this year, further information or volunteering inquiries can be made by contacting David Calder on 0777 107 1213.
