A call-out has been made for volunteers to help with school events in the area. A dedicated but ageing team currently gives their time and energy to run three experience days for different year groups in local primary schools.
Some volunteers are finding the days “rather exhausting,” prompting a recruitment drive for new helpers to join the team.
The appeal states, “If people can only offer one day or one session for the experience, we try to accommodate all requests. Hence, we need more volunteers to spread the load. There is always a preparation meeting beforehand.”
A preparation meeting is scheduled for Tuesday 4th March at 3.30pm at Holy Trinity Church, Dilton Marsh.
