Volunteers of all ages are needed to support Westbury Area Network (WAN), a charity providing food bank and community fridge services in the town.
A number of tasks need to be completed each week for the services to run smoothly, including collecting donations, delivering food parcels, preparing parcels, stacking shelves, weighing and dating donations, bagging bakery products and engaging with service users.
“Although it’s helpful, it’s not essential that volunteers come in every week. We operate a monthly rota, and the time each person can spare depends on their individual circumstances,” say the organisers.
Any tasks that require driving come with a car mileage allowance.
If you think you can help in any way or would like to see the full task rota, contact WAN at westburyareanetwork@gmail.com or visit the team at Westbury Community Project, off Eden Vale Road, on Monday, Wednesday or Thursday mornings.
