Regular walking netball sessions are planned for Westbury, kicking off in the new year.
Walking netball is exactly what it sounds like – netball, but at a walking pace. Anybody is welcome to come along and take part.
It is the perfect sport for people who just want to be a bit more active, former netball players who don’t feel able to play netball at the intensity they used to, people who just want to return to the game, or people who just want to get out and socialise.
Westbury community engagement manager, Graeme Morrison said, “Walking netball sessions are popping up all round the county and it is great news that we are able to introduce it to Westbury. We hope to be able to confirm the time and day that the sessions will be running very soon. Look out for this information on social media, and on the Our Community Matters blogsite and newsletter.
“If you would just like to take part in the sessions or if you are interested in being a volunteer leader, please get in touch with me via graeme.morrison@wilt shire.gov.uk or on the phone on 07986 365943.”
