‘Warm gypsy jazz’ comes to Bratton

A NATIONALLY acclaimed singer/songwriter will be stopping in Bratton on her Wiltshire tour next week.

Jane Taylor, an award-winning folk/jazz artist based in Bristol, will be playing at the Bratton Jubilee Hall on Saturday March 21st as part of her rural tour. The show will be followed by performances in Longbridge Deverill and Urchfont.

Jane is currently writing music for an animation called ‘Mr Claus’, following the release of her album ‘Compass’ in 2013.

She has received much praise from the BBC and was invited to record at the Maida Vale Studios last year.

Jane has recorded with Massive Attack’s Angelo Bruschini, opened for Jools Holland, won ‘Best Album’ at the Independent Music Awards as well as ‘UK Songwriter of the Year’.

“She is now penning music for a feature-length animation. What’s more she’s entirely independent; Jane Taylor is a phenomenon.

“Expect a little magic, a lot of warmth, gypsy jazz mixed with classical, blues, gospel, Spanish guitar and something quintessentially English. This is a unique opportunity to catch an intimate performance with an award-winning, critically acclaimed artist, right on your doorstep!”
