WESTBURY United secured a valuable point on the road at the weekend, courtesy of a first-half goal from Callum Demkiv.
The White Horse Men started the game well and broke the deadlock 29 minutes as a through-ball from Kyle Tooze found Callum Demkiv who took one touch before slamming the ball in the bottom corner of the net.
Sean Keet came close to extending the lead in the 35th minute after he managed to get on the end of a Ryan Bole corner at the back stick, but headed just wide. The first half ended with United in front.
Bemerton equalised in the 70th minute through Ronan Clancy to clinch a share of the points.
Man of the match was given to United’s Will Thompson. The club said, “He’s been hampered by injuries this season, but what an unbelievable shift and performance on his first start since December.
“He covered every single blade of grass and worked tirelessly for the team. It’s great to have you back fit again, Tommo.”
