WEST Wiltshire Crematorium is hosting a Christmas Memorial Service next week.
They say, “The team at West Wiltshire Crematorium can’t wait to welcome local families back ‘in person’ for this year’s Christmas Memorial Service, on Thursday 9th December at 6pm.
“The service provides a valuable opportunity for families and friends to come together and remember their loved ones in the run up to Christmas.
“Covid-19 restrictions meant that people were unable to visit the on-site chapel for the annual flagship service last year, which had to be streamed on-line instead.
“This year, both options are available; some families will be able to attend the event in person and the service will also be webcast so that no one misses out. The one-hour service will include a mixture of readings and popular Christmas Carols, with a soloist performing.”
Site manager at the crematorium, Louise Belsey, adds, “We are so pleased to be able to welcome families back into our chapel for the Christmas Memorial Service this year.
“We will be issuing invitations to families. Unfortunately, due to the intimate size of our chapel, only those who receive an invitation are going to be able to attend in person. They will be able to write personalised messages on memory tags which we will provide. They will be used to decorate the Christmas Tree in the chapel.
“Everyone else is invited to view the webcast of the service, so no one has to miss out and all our families can join in and remember their loved ones in the run up to Christmas.”
