Westbury’s popular Christmas Tree Festival, where trees are sponsored and decorated by local businesses, organisations and schools, takes place at All Saints Church from Thursday 11th December.
The Christmas tree festival ends on Sunday 14th December as the festive season really gets going in the town.
Over the years the festival has gone from strength to strength and yet again this year there is expected to be 50 trees, all by different sponsors.
Organiser Roy Inwood said, “It promises to be another great event and one not to be missed. There will be the Inn for all your Christmas refreshments and a stall selling Christmas fayre. New this year will be small models of a winter scene made by local children. You can also vote for your favourite tree and the one most voted for will win a prize. Also this year again there will be musical entertainment during the festival which is listed below along with the opening times.”
This year’s timetable is:
Thursday 11th December 6pm-8.30pm: With musical entertainment from 6.15pm featuring Bratton Silver Band, Westbury Juniors Ukelele Band, Harriot Long local talented singer and All Saints Church choir.
Friday 12th December 10am-8.30pm: Musical entertainment featuring Adrienne Hale and Westbury Infants singing their song WISH which has been recorded onto a CD and available to buy. The evening at 7pm will host Steeple Rocks Choir, never to be missed with their fun for singing.

Sunday 14th December 11am-4pm: Immediately followed by the Christingle service, which last year the church was full.
Roy added, “This event is not to be missed, treat yourself to an hour or so or more at the festival. Look forward to seeing you.”
