Westbury Area Family History Group will welcome the Rev. Graham Warmington on Thursday January 23rd, at 7.15pm.
He will be telling the story of Peter Anstie, a successful Trowbridge businessman who was a dyer by trade, as well as being a member of the influential Anstie family of Devizes, who became the first pastor of West End Baptist Church in Westbury and the founding deacon and second pastor of Bethesda Baptist Church in Trowbridge, before serving as Minister of churches in Chard, Exeter and Brixham.
The Westbury Area Family History Group, a branch of the Wiltshire Family History Society, meet every fourth Thursday of the month at 7.15pm in the foyer of Westbury’s Methodist Church.
