“I have been so heartened by the volunteers offering to help and from the number of local people making donations of food and cash, often by people who have little themselves,” said Mayor Mike Sutton.
“The amount of food upstairs in the Laverton is encouraging and I must thank Westbury public for donating so much, our volunteers for coming out to help and all the council staff who help to organise, package and supply the goods.
“Particular thanks to Morrisons and Aldi who have been very supportive.
Food or donations can be left at the Laverton which is manned Mon -Fri but people need to ring the bell on the council entrance door.”
