The latest news from the club shows Winston Drewitt winning the 0-18 handicap over 70s at the Fosseway Seniors Open with a Stableford score of 39 points.
The July medal was won by Neil Simpson with a nett 68 winning by one shot from Dave Boyle. The Seniors Secretary’s Trophy saw George Henderson come out on top with a nett 66 with Neil Simpson in second with 67.
Our latest friendly, the return match with Erlestoke, ended in a 3-3 draw. Our winning pairs were Ken Aylott and Barrie Jamieson, Dennis Kidd and Rob Rawlings and Pete Mould and Rodney Poolman.
Lady Captain’s day was on Thursday 11th July.
The winner of the 18 hole stableford competition was Pauline Jones and the runner-up was Mandy Wright.
This was followed by a delicious cream tea. We then went out and played a 9 hole Gruesomes competition which was won by Margaret Adams and Tony Dolman and runners-up were Sue McFerran and Rodney Poolman.
