To celebrate the end of their SATs, Year 6 staff and children from Westbury Junior School spent a fun day at Hampton Court Palace.
Teaching assistant Gareth Jones said, “After studying the Tudors and Henry VIII for the past two terms, it was great to bring their learning to life as well as being a nice treat after a taxing week of exams!
“The children were able to explore the grand rooms of the palace including the chapel, the wine cellar, the astronomical clock and the kitchen, where some of the children were even able to have a go at turning the spit.
“The children also visited the famous tennis court and were lucky enough to observe a game in action.
“The children had a truly wonderful day. It was a great culmination of a topic and the sun shone for us!”
