Westbury Leigh C of E Primary School recently celebrated Multi Faith week, an important fixture on the school’s academic calendar.
A representative from the school said, “Multi Faith week is a fantastic platform for children to learn the wide variety of faiths within our area.
“It is also an opportunity to help to bridge gaps in understanding and encourage dialogue between different faith communities.
“Staff organised visitors from a variety of faiths to come in and talk to the children. We had a visit from the Bath Buddhist Group, two members of the Sikh community, all discussing their beliefs and culture. Some of the activities involved trying on a variety of beautifully coloured sari’s and eating traditional foods.
“There was no better way of celebrating the richness and diversity of faiths within our country.”
