Westbury Neighbourhood Policing Team carried out simultaneous warrants on two addresses at Criollo Court in Westbury under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 on Friday 23rd May.
Other Police specialist units were brought together in order to bring a successful conclusion to the operation. This included working with housing and other partner agencies.
A 34 year old male was arrested at one of the premises for several offences, most prominently the possession of illegal drugs. Another male, a 33 year old from a separate apartment, was detained and issued with a fixed penalty notice for possession of cannabis.
The operation went smoothly with minimal disruption to the community, although PC Hucks would like to extend his thanks and gratitude to the members of the public who demonstrated tremendous calm and understanding during the operation, which was duly noted by all operational staff involved.
PC Hucks said, “It goes to show that through working with partner agencies, successful results can be achieved which has been proved on this occasion. Not only was this a matter that affects the local community, but that of the entire country. It is also with thanks to partner agencies that by sharing information with the Police, we can combat criminal activity together. I wish to send a clear message that criminal activity within the community will not be tolerated.”
