The latest report from Westbury Seniors Golf Captain, Rodney Poolman, is as follows:
“On the 1st August we played a Seniors friendly match at Cannington where the course was in excellent condition. The result was a win for the home side by 4 matches to 2. Our winning pairs were Colin Booth/Terry Turner and Dave Gilbert/Rodney Poolman. With this win, Dave qualified for a bottle of wine courtesy of the Captain.
“The Marrow Cup was played at Rushmore with Rob Rawlings coming out on top from Ross Privett on countback.
“Our latest friendly was against Broome Manor played at Westbury and resulted in a 3-draw. Our winning pairs were Ray Shell/Harold Lidbitter, Dave Gilbert/David Firth and Clive Sturgess/Rodney Poolman.”
