A Westbury singer has hit all the right notes since she decided to quit her office job to follow her dream of becoming a performer.
Brogan Pearce, 27, left her corporate role in December 2024 and has been building her presence in Wiltshire’s music scene ever since.
Since then, she has performed at events such as Westbury’s Sunday Brunch and Warminster’s Spring in the Park.
Brogan, who lives in Westbury, said, “My journey into music began with karaoke and talent competitions at holiday parks as a young child, followed by solo performances in my local choir.
“In 2025, I took a bold step to pursue my dream by starting my own business as a full-time wedding and event singer. After working nonstop in the corporate world for nine years, I left my office job in December 2024. It was a massive risk, but I’ve never been happier.”
Brogan’s first official gig this year was at the Valeroso Lounge in Trowbridge on Valentine’s Day. She has also recently performed at the Widbrook Grange open day in Bradford-on-Avon.
Her sample set-list includes songs such as Kiss Me by Sixpence None the Richer, Put Your Records On by Corinne Bailey Rae, and At Last by Etta James.
Brogan added, “There’s truly no feeling like connecting with an audience and experiencing their kindness. During busking, members of the public have approached me with touching comments like, ‘I love that song; you sang it so beautifully,’ or, ‘You’re doing brilliantly—I was sitting outside the fish and chip shop by the church and just had to come over.’
“Hearing those words means the absolute world to me, and it’s a testament to how kind and supportive people can be.
“My goal is to bring joy and connection through music, whether that’s at weddings, pub gigs or community events.”
