Westbury Youth FC has secured access to 3G football facilities on both Saturdays and Sundays at Selwood Academy in Frome for the season ahead.
The move to 3G facilities represents a significant step forward for the club, providing reliable all-weather facilities. It will help reduce postponements and cancellations during the winter months, while also creating a more consistent environment for player development across all age groups.
Club Chairman Luke Hames said, “We are incredibly proud to secure 3G football provision for our players from September 2026. This is something the club has worked very hard to achieve behind the scenes and represents a real investment in the future of Westbury Youth FC.
“For many years, weather disruption has been one of the biggest challenges facing grassroots football. Having access to quality 3G facilities on both Saturdays and Sundays will make a huge difference to our children, coaches and families.”
The club says the agreement forms part of a wider long-term vision to continue improving opportunities for young players within the local community.
“Founded in 1992, Westbury Youth FC has been at the heart of the local community for more than 30 years, providing football opportunities for hundreds of children and young people across the town,” added Luke. “We would like to thank everyone involved in helping make the project possible and look forward to an exciting new chapter for the club.”
