BREAKFAST was served up at the Labour Club as the Westbury branch of Cancer Research UK held their annual ‘Big Breakfast.’
The event on Saturday 15th March raised £944.33 for the charity with a total of 114 breakfast’s made with 180 people attending the event.
Committee members and volunteers served up everything from full English breakfasts to toast, crumpets and coffee.
The event has been running for 16 years and is always well supported by local people.
Chair of the Westbury branch said, “It went very well and we would like to make a special thank you to Westbury Labour Club for housing us and to Morrisons who supported us. It is a great amount of money to make and we are pleased.
“We would also like to thank those that turned up on the day and helped make it a success. It was hard work, but all worth it.”
A raffle also took place on the day with prizes themed on a picnic such as hampers, blankets and accessories. The raffle raised £132.
