RUNNERS from across the county came to the Westbury area last month to take part in the popular Dilton Dash on Sunday 21st May, – a multi-terrain event consisting of footpaths, tracks and road that offers a 10k race and a 3k version- and the Bratton Hilly on Saturday 27th May, a challenging 11k run that takes in the steep climb up the White Horse.
Money raised from both of these events will support the Dilton Rovers Summer School and the Bratton Jubilee Hall.
Tracey Hyde from Redfish Events, who organised the events, said, “Two races in back-to-back weekends – I must be crazy!
“All the help from my family, friends, marshals and not to forget the willing runners helped make these events fantastic, and although both weekends were really hot, all the hard work totally made it worth it.
“A big shout out to Alan Swan and Barbara Swan for some amazing action shots, plus Mendip Medical for keeping an eye on us all.”
