THE Old Town Hall in Westbury will be up for sale at an auction next month.
The grade II Listed premises in the Market Place will be auctioned by Cooper and Tanner on Tuesday 3rd December at the Standerwick Suite, Frome, with a guide price of £180,000-£200,000.
The Old Town Hall was built as a Market House in 1815, and subsequently used as a court house and lock-up, and then a library. It was converted for commercial use in the 1970s, and was most recently occupied by solicitors Middleton & Upsall (who have now moved to Station Road).
Cooper and Tanner suggest that the premises would be suitable for use as a restaurant, shop, nursery, fitness studio or many other uses, subject to planning consent.
