Westbury Area Board will meet for the final time of 2019 on Thursday 5 December – and there will be a ‘exciting’ announcement about a new event for 2020.
This public meeting, to be held at Matravers School, will run at the slightly earlier time of 6pm – 8pm and has a youth theme and a full agenda.
Westbury Town Council’s new events manager, Ryan Child, will be talking about their plans for possible events for the next year, including an exciting announcement for a new event to take place next year.
“Has 2019 been an ‘uphill struggle’? If so you won’t want to miss this,” says Ryan. “Come along to find out how your 2020 could go downhill but in a really fun way. This could include a ‘wheelie exciting’ event which is sure to get the whole community buzzing.
“The meeting is open to all so make sure you ‘roll down’ to the school to find out more.”
Attendees will also hear from Year 11 students from Matravers School who will pitch the ideas for projects that they have come up with under their “Future Leaders” programme, including ideas to improve the environment around the school.
Also on the agenda is an update from Fairfield Farm College, and an update from Graeme Morrison – Community Engagement Manager – following the public meeting being held the day before which will discuss youth issues in Westbury.
All Westbury Area Board meetings are public meetings – so anyone is free to come along to find out what is happening locally and get involved.
