WHITE Horse News is now officially one of Wiltshire’s biggest circulating newspapers!
Our 10,000 circulation puts White Horse News in the top three of all the newspapers in the county. The only papers to circulate more copies are Melksham Independent News, which is published by the same team behind White Horse News, and the Salisbury Journal.
White Horse News distribution figures puts it over 3,800 copies ahead of the sales of the Wiltshire Times.
The Wiltshire Times’ latest sales figures, released last month, saw sales drop to just 6,179 across the whole of the county (down 13% year on year). A link to their official sales is can be found at www.abc.org.uk/product/6380
Annual sales and distribution figures for local newspapers were released last month for 2018, showing a continued fall for the sales of Wiltshire Times, Gazette & Herald and most local paid for newspapers.
White Horse News, though, continues to grow.
Editor Ian Drew said, “The White Horse News is going from strength to strength. Our aim is simple – to pack the paper full of everything that goes on locally and this is something that has been embraced by the town.
“Newspapers owned by the large newspaper groups – like the Wiltshire Times – are really struggling. But there is still a real thirst for local news and that’s what we concentrate on – news about Westbury people, Westbury events and Westbury organisations.
“Our aim is to champion Westbury and the great people who live here. We get fantastic support from the community and hopefully that is something that will continue long into the future.”
