The first of three stunning new short aerial films capturing the beautiful county of Wiltshire has just been launched on the VisitWiltshire website – with Westbury’s White Horse featuring prominently.
Visitors to Wiltshire are now able to view a snapshot of the breathtaking countryside from a bird’s eye view, making you feel as if you are flying above the county.
The three Wiltshire films, taken using a drone, illustrate Wiltshire’s timeless brand positioning, focusing on the county’s Timeless Wonders, Timeless Pleasures, Timeless Nature and Timeless Places. They also align with VisitBritain’s Countryside is GREAT campaign.
The films are themed and titled as follows:
• Wiltshire’s White Horses – iconic views of the landscape – with Westbury’s crown jewel seen from the air.
• Exploring Wiltshire’s Kennet & Avon Canal from the air
• Wiltshire’s ancient hill forts – an aerial perspective.
Fiona Errington, VisitWiltshire’s Marketing Manager says, “Visitors like to see different iconic Wiltshire landmarks on film that they can picture themselves experiencing. These aerial films give a very unique perspective of our vast rural landscape which will encourage visitors to explore and enjoy our beautiful countryside.”
Wiltshire’s famous landmarks including Battlesbury Camp, Old Sarum, Barbury Castle, Oldbury Castle, Bratton Camp and the Kennet & Avon Canal are featured. The Wiltshire White Horses include Westbury, Devizes, Hackpen and Cherhill.
VisitWiltshire’s first of three films – ‘Exploring the Kennet & Avon Canal’ – is now available to view with the other films being released later this summer.
This year, take time to discover more Timeless Wonders and write your chapter in Wiltshire’s never ending story.
