Westbury Netball Club, which caters for both juniors and adults, is looking for new members to join the club.
They say, “Our Westbury adults are aged between 14 and 44 but there is no upper age limit! We are a friendly bunch who meet once a week to train and get fit. Many of us who started at the club hadn’t played netball since leaving school, so were a bit nervous at first, but it’s amazing how quickly you can pick it up again!
“Your first three training sessions are free of charge, so this is the perfect opportunity to come along commitment-free, and find out a bit more about us. Our first training session of the new season starts on Monday 13th August, then Monday 20th August and Monday 3rd September. These sessions are 7.30-8.30pm. After that, we will be training every Monday evening from 8-9.30pm.
“Training takes place in the sports hall at Matravers School. To find us, enter the school grounds on the far right entrance between two brick pillars with the sign “Staff Parking Only” on the right brick pillar. Follow the road through the blue gates turning left after the mobile. Drive down the side of the mobile then turn left into the main playground, where you can park.
“So bring along your friend, daughter, mum, auntie, or come along on your own! This is a great opportunity to get fit in a fun and interesting way, become part of our netball club and enjoy some social time. Hopefully see you soon!
“Our Westbury Red Team came a valiant third in this summer’s league held in Warminster.”
