CHILDREN across Westbury are being invited to take part in an art competition organised by Westbury Town Council that encourages children aged 3 to 11 to create a piece of art based on something from Vivash Park.
The competition is spilt into three categories – aged 3-5, 6-8, and 9-11. Each lucky winner will receive a £25 gift voucher and their artwork will be framed. All entries must be living in Westbury or attending a Westbury school.
Vivash Park can be found on Hawkeridge Road. The park consists of a fishing lake, pond, woodland and picnic area with views of the White Horse. Your subject could be a view of the lake with swans or the ducks, it could be the pond with dragon flies or a view of the woodlands with the White Horse.
The closing date is Friday 25th August and completed work together with an entry form must be submitted to Norman Burgess, Westbury Town Council, The Laverton, Bratton Road, Westbury BA13 3EN.
