Transport is top of the agenda at the next BA13+ community area partnership public meetings to be held on Thursday 16th November at 7pm at Leighton Recreation Centre.
Phil McMullen, BA13+ partnership administrator said,“Each quarterly meeting, we analyse a theme from the Partnership’s community plan, and it so happens that the theme for the next meeting is ‘transport.’ We are fortunate in having secured a guest speaker from the Transwilts Community Rail Partnership to come and speak to us about rail issues in the Westbury area, including plans to reopen Wilton Parkway station near Salisbury.
“Refreshments will be available to those who wish to attend the meeting.
“We have also invited a speaker to attend from the Wiltshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) to speak to us about fair access to NHS-funded non-emergency transport which will be needed to be confirmed”

The aim of the survey is to help inform the development of a consistent approach to eligibility for NHS-funded patient transport. Patient transport is a non-emergency service offered to people who cannot get to their hospital appointments because their health condition impacts on their ability to use routine transport.
The aim of the clinical commissioning groups is to ensure that NHS-funded non-emergency patient transport is provided in a fair way for all those who need help getting to hospital appointments.
