THE White Horse Day Centre opened its doors again to its members on Thursday 12th August.
“The members were very pleased to return as it had been a long 17 months without the club,” said Sue Ezra, chair of the day centre.
“It was a wonderful time for all and we held a small celebration prepared by Tony, our new cook.
“The meal was so good that the members gave him a round of applause which he much appreciated. Members enjoyed a morning coffee, a good chat, followed by gentle exercise. We also had one or two old members return to us which was good to see. After lunch the members took part in a quiz while having a cup of tea after which we played two games of bingo.
“When they left they were all looking forward to returning next week hoping that we will not have to close again because of Covid.
“If you are interested in joining them at the club, Grassacres Hall Station Road, Westbury (by the Methodist Church) the hours are from 10am till 3pm on Thursday. You are welcome just to turn up, you will be made very welcome or maybe phone Sue on 07816 991960 or Chris 07891 432215.”
