ALDI say they will start work on their site for a new store in Westbury in the coming months.
Earlier this year, Aldi successfully submitted an application to extend planning permission for a new store on the site in Warminster Road, after planning permission was originally granted in 2007. The town council has supported the planning application. Oval Peugeot has now vacated the site, and Aldi say they will start work on the site this year.
An Aldi spokesperson commented, “Aldi plans to commence demolition on the existing site prior to Christmas this year and we remain committed to opening in Westbury. The exact time scale as to when this will be, will be announced at the appropriate time.”
