THE ever-popular Oktoberfest returned to the Horse and Groom in Westbury last week following a two-year absence.

Oktoberfest is an annual competition in Munich where brewers brew their best beers and The Horse and Groom served six of the best beers during their own festival.
The pub landlords, Bob and Carol Musker said, “These beers are a little bit stronger than our British beers with strengths of over 6% ABV, which is why we always recommend ‘half pints.’
“We limited the ticket availability to just 100 this year, so as to make it more comfortable for those attending and we were fully booked on the day.
“There was traditional German music and some live sing-along music by Westbury’s own Stuart Saye. Bratwurst sausages were served and helped soak up the delicious beer and of course everyone got a commemorative 2022 glass.
“Everyone had a wonderful time and for those who can remember, they are still talking about it!”
