Members of the community who use a local support service were brought together by volunteers for a social gathering in Bratton.
Around 50 people who use Four Villages Link services enjoyed afternoon tea at Bratton Jubilee Hall on Wednesday 5th November. Volunteers drove attendees from Coulston, Edington and Erlestoke, while many Bratton residents made their own way to the hall.
The Four Villages Link is a befriending and support scheme staffed by volunteers and led by a local committee. They offer transport and good neighbour services to people in the villages of Bratton, Coulston, Edington and Erlestoke.
“One visitor who is now effectively housebound was delighted to meet up with people she hadn’t seen for years, and the food was greatly appreciated, especially the homemade cakes,” said Cathy Elliot, a member of the Jubilee Hall Committee and Four Villages Link.
