Westbury & District CC claimed local bragging rights with an impressive five wicket victory over rivals Warminster CC in the WEPL Wiltshire Premier Division.

Warminster’s innings was held together by Jake Small, who top scored with 39, while Theo Taylor added 34 and Josef Breet made 33. However, regular wickets prevented the visitors from posting a challenging total.

Kane Scott anchored the innings with a composed 31, helping steady the side after two early wickets. Daniel Gill contributed an important 22 before Javon Grosvenor took the game away from Warminster with a superb unbeaten 65 from just 61 balls, including 11 boundaries.
Captain Tom Lucas capped a fine all-round display by finishing unbeaten on 33, sharing a match-winning partnership with Grosvenor to guide Westbury home comfortably.
