Pupils at a Westbury primary school learned how police officers help keep their community safe during a visit from a neighbourhood policing officer.
PCSO Roland Revers, from the Warminster Neighbourhood Policing Team, visited Westbury Leigh C of E Primary School as part of a superhero-themed week.
The children learned about the role of police in the community and the equipment officers use before getting a closer look at a police vehicle and sitting inside it.
“There was great excitement when they got to see the police vehicle’s lights in action and everyone was thrilled to have the opportunity to sit inside the police truck!” said a spokesperson for the school.
“They also impressed PCSO Roland with a fantastic list of thoughtful questions, showing great curiosity and enthusiasm. During the visit, they learned about when to call the emergency services, the importance of knowing emergency numbers, and how the police help people every day.”
