We are the newly elected Head Girls of Matravers School.
We chose to apply because we are passionate about our school and want to share our positive experiences here, and help younger students enjoy their education as much as we have.
My name is Molly Dovey. I study history, dance, photography and art. I’m looking to pursue a creative career and take a gap year volunteering in Peru or Ecuador helping communities and younger school children with their education.
My name is Jess Scragg and I am studying maths, geography and biology. I am hoping to go to university next year to study ecology so I can go into a career in conservation of endangered species and prevention of destruction of habitat.
We are now in our seventh year at Matravers and are undertaking our A-Levels. Together we cover a range of subjects and clearly have different interests but we share a common goal of striving to inspire Matravers students to achieve their full potential and make the most of their time here, as we have.
Staff have continuously encouraged and supported us to follow our own paths to make sure we get to where we want to be.
We will form the connection between staff and students by establishing a School Council that students can trust and benefit from by knowing that their opinions will be valued and taken into account.
We’re proud to be a part of Matravers and are excited to be involved with the changes happening within the school, and while working closely with our headteacher, Dr Riding, we will ensure that staff and students work in harmony.
