WHITE Horse News would like to issue an apology to J.F. Pearce and Sons after incorrectly captioning a photo of one of their HGVs as ‘An HGV using Slag Lane to get to The Ham’ in the last issue of the White Horse News (issue 800) in the story, ‘MP calls for Slag Lane road safety improvements to be made’.
The J.F. Pearce and Sons HGV was correctly using Slag Lane to make a delivery to Hawkeridge Yard, and was not using Slag Lane to get to The Ham. The White Horse News apologises for this error and the upset it caused to the company.
