A fundraising big band concert will return to Dilton Marsh this month for its sixth consecutive year.
Bath Community Big Band will perform at Holy Trinity Church, Dilton Marsh High Street, on Wednesday 30th September at 7.30pm.
Funds raised will be donated to Dorothy House and the church’s organ restoration costs.
The band of up to 30 players will perform a mixed programme of big band classics, jazz standards, Brazilian-inspired pieces and an original composition by bandleader and conductor Ralf Dorrell, who lives in the village.
The group comprises a saxophone section, brass section and rhythm section.
Vocalist Lindy Platt will also join the musicians.
Ralf Dorrell said, “The band always gets a good response in the village, and, as a result, they are invited back to play every year. Not to be missed!”
Tickets are £10 and include a glass of wine or soft drink. They will be available on the door or in advance from Tess and Garth on 01373 822414.
