THIS Boxing Day, why not walk off your Christmas Day lunch with a healthy family walk and help collect money for the guidedogs.
Organised by The Horse and Groom in Westbury, this will be the third Boxing Day dog walk, which last year saw over 40 people in fancy dress, from Westbury to Bratton and back, before enjoying a buffet lunch back at the Horse and Groom. With prizes for the best fancy dress adult, child and even dog – it’s a really good family day.
The Horse and Groom has already sponsored one guide dog called Alfie, named after the pub’s Alfred Street location, and is currently collecting for a second guide dog.
The walk starts at 11am and makes a stop at the Duke at Bratton for ‘refuelling,’ before returning back to the Horse and Groom.
The cost is £2 per person to the guidedogs for the walk itself, and an additional £12 per adult and £6 per child for an ‘all you can eat’ buffet served from 12pm-4pm. This is strictly bookings only.
