LOCAL police have issued details of five non dwelling burglaries which were committed in Bratton overnight on the 3rd/4th June.
In the early hours of the 4th June Lower Road, Bratton, unknown suspects opened bolted gates to the rear of an isolated property into the garden, bolt cropped a padlock to a shed and entered and stole three chainsaws and two compressors. They also entered another shed and stole a generator.
Overnight on the 3rd June at Court Lane, Bratton, a suspect broke the clasp and then cut the lock of the victim’s shed. Entry was gained, however nothing was stolen.
Overnight on the 3rd June a stable tack room on Castle Road, Bratton, was entered, the offenders having cut the padlock, however no items were stolen.
Overnight on the 3rd June at Castle Road, stables at Bratton were targeted and offenders cut the hasp to the tack room door, entered and stole tea, coffee, pork pies and biscuits TVO £10, and caused £10 worth of damage to the lock.
Overnight between the 3rd and the 5th June in Castle Road, Bratton, unknown suspect/s gained entry to the IP’s shed by damaging the locks on the door. Once inside, they stole a STIHL strimmer.
Inspector Alan Webb says, “We are still seeing a series of offences of this nature. We were successful last week in arresting two persons one of whom came from Teignmouth, Devon, for a series of offences that occurred in the West of my area. We are now turning our attention to this series in order to try to prevent any further offences and to catch those responsible.”
