OVER 225 adults and children visited Bratton’s open gardens last weekend, with a total of £2,500 raised for good causes.
Organisers say, “There were 16 different gardens on display last Sunday for people to enjoy and a massive £2,500 was raised that will be split 50/50 between Friends of St James’ Church and Wiltshire Air Ambulance.
“Many thanks to all who opened their gardens, to all the organisers and helpers, and of course to all of you who walked round the village.”
Peter Sharland, Bratton resident and treasurer of St James’s Church said, “It was a glorious sunny day to experience the 16 gardens on offer. A particular favourite was Ivy Cottage on Lower Road, where teas and homemade cakes were also available.”
