Bratton Primary School was a sea of pink this month as staff and volunteers embraced ‘Wear It Pink’ day in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Staff and volunteers dressed in pink, wore pink pin badges, and the staff room was decorated with pink balloons and bunting, with pink cakes on offer to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research.
Mrs Bunce, the school’s publicity officer, said, “This cause is very close to our hearts at Bratton Primary School, and we all hope to help increase awareness, spread the word on the importance of checking your bodies, and raise funds to donate to research.”
The staff, parents and families contributed to the breast cancer research fundraising bucket.
“Thank you again to all the amazing school staff and volunteers for fully embracing the pink theme—a sea of pink across the school was a joy to witness,” said Mrs Bunce.
“Bratton Primary School’s core values are to be kind, safe, honest and respectful, and coming together to support this cause is evidence of the wonderful community spirit and the bonds that have been built.
“It’s great for the children to witness this—after all, when united and supported as a team, positive things can truly happen!”
