A RESOLUTION to support Wiltshire Air Ambulance’s fight for proper compensation after the Novichok attack has won the backing of Wiltshire Council.
The motion was put forward by Salisbury Lib Dem Wiltshire councillor Brian Dalton. Reacting to his success, cllr Dalton said, “We all know how important our air ambulance is, how brave their whole team is and that they have not got fair treatment from the promises made by government.
“None of us living and working in Amesbury and Salisbury will ever forget the spring and summer of 2018. The air ambulance like other emergency service workers, did not hesitate and ran forward to deal with the most dangerous substance on earth. The air ambulance believe promises were made to them, their staff, and volunteers that they would not lose out due to their bravery. Two years later they and we are still waiting for those promises to be kept. Our Air Ambulance has lost out to the tune of £100,000.
“Now I hope Wiltshire Council will take off the gloves in the fight for fair compensation for our air ambulance.”
